The Belltown neighborhood is the northwestern section of downtown Seattle from the shoreline of Elliott Bay to the freeway between the Seattle Center and Pike Place Market to the south.

Famous historically for its radical leveling of Denny Hill, the Belltown area is still the scene of major construction projects. The recent Olympic Sculpture Park project, for example, received an American Society of Landscape Architects Design Awards for its transformation of an inaccessible oil transfer facility into a spectacular public urban art garden beach and shoreline trail.

    A Brand-New Belltown

Belltown's prime downtown and waterfront location has made it a natural choice for developers beginning in the late 1800's but the building boom that began at the turn of this current century was one of the biggest. Over the past 20 years several high raise condo building were built and most with absolutely spectacular views. And right out side your door are many of Seattle best trendy restaurants boutiques, shops, hotels, art galleries, and even a downtown dog lounge and dog park. Then just a few blocks away is the famed Pike Place Market.

    Fun and Varied Living Downtown

Belltown residents cannot be easily grouped together. The young hip professional is the stereotype, but retirees and families also live and thrive there. They all come together to create a sense of community in this wonderful downtown area.
